David Bruce Mem 50tt/SC North Champs

Cromarty Firth Cycling Club hosted the David Bruce Memorial 50tt / SC North Championship on Sunday 10Th June. Conditions were good for the 16 riders who took to the course which runs from Balintrad out onto the A9 up to the Dornoch Bridge , Then south to the Cromarty Bridge and then back north to Kildary and finishes on the B817 just past Polnicol Hall.

Fastest Rider on the Day was Tom Broadbent (Elgin CC) in a time of 1.51.39 followed by Colin Duncan (Elgin CC) 1.57.49 and Sean Quin (Law Wheelers) in 3rd in 1.58.35.

Fastest Lady on the day was Jennie McColl (Aberdeen Wheelers) in a time of 2.09.13. Kyle Cartmell (RT23) was the Junior winner in a time of 2.04.21 and Alisdair Washington (Caithness CC) won the Vets Std with a time of +32.44.

This was also the Scottish Cycling North Championship 50tt and the medal winner were:

2nd Colin Duncan -Elgin CC-  1.57.49

3rd Kyle Cartmell -RT23- 2.04.21

Ladies

1st Olga Hamilton -Orkney CC- 2.20.31

2nd Amanda Wagstaffe -East Sutherland Wheelers- 2.24.29

3rd Rhoda Kennedy -Caithness CC- 2.25.34

Junior

1st Kyle Cartmell -RT23- 2.04.21

Male Vet Std

1st Alasdair Washington-Caithness CC- +32.44

2nd Colin Duncan- Elgin CC- +20.03

3rd Paul Parrish-Cairngorm CC- +15.42
