Four CFCC riders headed down to Kincraig on Sunday to take part in the Kincraig 10tt hosted by Cairngorm Cycling Club. The course runs from Kincraig out to a dead turn at Kingussie and back along what once the old A9. With 88 riders starting some of the earlier starters were coming back and reporting a slight tailwind on the return leg but by the time the later riders got going to seemed to be a crosswind so going was tough in both directions. CFCC riders times were:
Mike Gordon 24.03mins 19th
David Stuart 24.07mins 20th
Rob Shaw 26.55mins 54th
Eric Soane 28.17mins 65th
In the afternoon CFCC rider David Stuart was entered in the APR . David was in the third group off in the APR but they proved too fast for him and he was dropped after around 9 miles and quickly passed by group 4 and then the scratch group so most of the second lap was done alone until a rider from Aberdeen Wheelers who had punctured joined David to work together until the finish. The pair caught a couple of riders with a few miles still to go and David finally finished in 52nd.
