Glorious sunshine greeted the six riders who turned up for the CFCC club run this week. Meeting in the carpark behind the high street in Alness it was decided to go over the Struie. Leaving Alness it was straight in to the climbing up past the golf course and into Ardross. On through Ardross ,and round the Stittenham corners and then on to Strathrory Quarry. Once over the cattlegrid Donald, Mike and Darek decided to start a bit of a race to the top of the hill, I was too far back to see who got there first. Then the riders carried on past Aultnamain and along to the top of the Struie Viewpoint. After a quick photo stop it was a fast blast down to the junction at Mid Fearn and a left turn to take the riders along through Edderton (where we were joined by Roger Sewell) to Tain where we stopped for a coffee at the Co-op. Coming out of Tain we headed onto the scotsburn road and through Newmore to get home to Alness. Total distance 40 miles.
