Ben Stuart made his racing debut on Saturday at the first round of the Highland Dirt Crit series at Grantown on Spey. The crit series is split into age groups and an ideal way to introduce youngsters to mtb racing. The under 10 category that Ben was racing in had to do 2 laps of  the course which included a tough climb for the kids and a nice section of downhill. Ben finished both laps of his race but due to a crash on a practice lap was a bit tentative on the down hill section so finished a bit down the field but thoroughly enjoyed his first experience of mtb racing.

There are two more rounds of the Highland Dirt Crit Series.
