Kyle Mackay and David Stuart managed to get the first run of the new year in on Tuesday.Leaving Alness they headed through Evanton and onto the back road to Dingwall.Once in Dingwall they turned right and along past Fodderty and into Strathpeffer.A quick stop in Strathpeffer for a coffee and a chance for Kyle's hands to warm up (summer gloves not very good at this time of year) and they headed back past Fodderty again and into Dingwall.Heading out of Dingwall on the bottom road they had a quick stop to wish a happy new year to Roger Sewell (RRCC) who was heading back into town,then onto the Ardullie roundabout and along the A9.A turn up at fouils resulted in a walk up the hill due to ice but it kept them out of the traffic.Once up the hill it was on through Evanton and home to Alness.Total distance 29miles.
